However, such statistics will be anonymized and will not include any identifiable information of you.
We collect and use your personal data in the following circumstances or for the following purposes:
- To help you become our registered user
accept full e-Meds services, you must first register a user account to confirm your role as [User], [Caregiver]. To complete the creation of the account, you must provide at least the following information: Your account name [Name], [ID No.], [Date of Birth], [Passcode], [Your personal telephone number] (for identity verification) or [Email address] (for mail verification). We will verify the validity of your identity through a short message or email. If you use false personal data to register the account by using a fake name, ID number, or incorrect date of birth, even if the registration is successful, a warning message about incompliant identity will appear after you use the App to scan the QR Code of your prescription for identity verification, which will prevent you from accessing subsequent e-Meds application services.
- To provide you with products and services
- Application functions provided to you by e-Meds
- e-Meds provides users with a patented function of simultaneous counting of medicine access to remind users to take medicine in accordance with prescriptions and to facilitate the management of bringing medicine for daily use. The Cap has a chip inside (chip operating temperature between -100C and 600C) that link medicine information and instructions of use through e-Meds App, record use of medicine and send information about the user’s [non-medicine intake or anomalous medicine intake] to the caregiver designated by the user so that the caregiver can learn about the use of medicine by the user. Through the power of i-caregivers, users are urged to take their medicine and healthcare can be reduced. After registration is completed, we will process and protect your personal data.
- In order for the e-Meds App to create a link with your prescriptions, you must provide your personal data truthfully at the time of registration, because the App will automatically identify and compare whether the personal information on the prescription is consistent with the user before subsequent application services can be provided.
- To configure a schedule for medicine intake, please first key in your daily routine. We will follow your routine to schedule reminders to take medicine. Please note that we can only schedule your medicine intake for 24 hours a day. The latest time to schedule a reminder is [23:59 every day] and no further reminders can be sent after this time. Once the schedule for medicine intake is set up, please take your medicine in accordance with the reminders.
- How to record your medicine intake. After each reminder to take medicine, the operating steps are as follows: Click on Take Medicine Take the Cap and use your mobile phone to touch the LOGO on the Cap lightly The App will automatically compare whether the medicine in the Cap is consistent with the reminder. If so, a [V] sign will be displayed and your medicine intake will be recorded. If it is not consistent, a [X] sign will be displayed and you will be asked to scan another Cap. When the App confirms that the medicine in the Cap is consistent with the reminder, please take the medicine in accordance with the instructions of the eReminder Cap. There are five types of medicine intake records: [No Intake], [Missed Record], [Normal], [Delay] and [Anomaly].
[No Intake]: 1 hour before each medicine intake schedule and before sleep time every day, the App will automatically list the medicine that you have not taken. Please compare this with the number of medicine intakes on your Caps to verify the list of medicine non-taken on the App. If the Cap shows that the medicine has been taken, you can click [Missed Record] and the medicine intake record will show the record, providing you with a transition period under the App process flow.
[Normal]: After each medicine intake reminder in the App, if the next scheduled reminder is not changed when you click medicine intake, then it creates a normal medicine intake.
[Delay]: For your medicine intake safety, if the App automatically changes your next medicine intake reminder by at least 4 hours when you click medicine intake, the record will be [Delay].
[Anomaly]: After you have taken the medicine, if you click on medicine intake before the next medicine intake reminder and the App tells you that [last medicine intake was less than 4 hours ago, please take the medicine when you have a reminder], if you click [confirm medicine intake], the record will be [Anomaly].
You can check your daily medicine intake records at any time, or you can use a one-time verification code to check your medicine intake records in the e-Meds back office.
- Other Reminders. eReminder Cap only provides options of once a day, twice a day, three times a day, and 4 times a day. Therefore, the e-Meds App schedules medicine intake reminders in a regular manner. If you have a special way of taking medicine, please set up medicine intake reminders under [Other Reminders]. You can schedule a one time reminder on a designated date or time or set reminders by time intervals. For example, reminders for next medicine pickup, clinic visit, or examination on designated dates and time. You can also set up reminders by time intervals, such as special medicine intake reminders, diabetic shots, blood pressure, and body temperature taking, etc.
- In addition to recording your daily medicine intake, the e-Meds App can also add your negative reactions following medicine intake under a certain medicine in the schedule, as a record about medicine that you are allergic to when it was not the case previously. You can also take photos of your examination reports and record them in the App for verification in the future at any time.
- Definition of “i-caregiver.” After you scan the QR Code in the App, the i-caregiver will know your daily medicine intake records and pushed messages about non-medicine intake or anomalous medicine intake with your consent. You can also cancel the i-caregiver configuration. Note: If you are a special patient, you cannot cancel the i-caregiver configuration yourself.
- Registered caregivers must complete their personal data truthfully. After registration is completed, you can learn about non-medicine intake and anomalous medicine intake of multiple patients. When this happens, you can call the patients under your care directly or send information to the patients.
- Push Functions
eMeds push services allow third parties working with the platform to push medicine intake reminders to patients serviced by these third parties and to provide advertising notices about non-medicine intake or anomalous medicine intake to caregivers approved by the patients in order to facilitate promotion of the e-Meds business. Also, in order to maintain and provide better services to all patients and caregivers, e-Meds allow third parties to send paid push events and advertising notices to patients and caregivers that they serve up to 3 times a month. The pushed details should not breach any state advertising law. Upon any event of a breach, the third party must unconditionally undertake all legal and compensation liabilities. e-Meds also has the right to suspend third-party push functions without notice to the third parties and will take over the patients and caregivers serviced by such third parties in order to provide uninterrupted services to the users (patients) and caregivers of e-Meds.
- i-caregiver Credit
When you activate i-caregiver services under e-Meds, each patient must credit NT$50 every month in order to maintain the i-caregiver services. The credit may be made either by the caregiver or the user (patient) and payment must be made as required. In the process of completing transaction and payment on the platform, we may collect your third-party payment account (such as an Alipay account, WeChat payment account, credit card information, etc.) for credit or payment and verification.
- Point Exchange Functions
e-Meds provides a service to exchange points against products. Points are calculated based on your completion of medicine intake based on the daily medicine intake reminder schedule. When the medicine intake record shows [Normal], you get 1 point and points may be accumulated. After you receive a certain number of points, exchanges may be made on the e-Meds platform or in the corresponding exchange manner provided by third parties (exchange manners to be published in the future). You will complete an exchange order form on the platform. You will need to provide the name of your recipient, recipient address, and mobile number. You can also provide more contact information such as the recipient’s fixed telephone number and email address to ensure the timely delivery of the products. In order to provide you with the exchanged products, we will work with third-party suppliers and third-party distributors (including SF Express, YTO, etx., hereinafter “Distribution Companies”) to complete order and product delivery for you. You are aware and agree for third-party suppliers and third-party Distribution Companies working with e-Meds to use the information of your order for the above purpose to ensure the safe delivery of your ordered products.
- Medicine Delivery
To serve users (patients) with limited mobility or during special periods (COVID-19), prescriptions may be sent to pharmacies or caregivers through the App to facilitate subsequent handling by the pharmacies or caregivers. eReminder Caps with filled medicine may be delivered to you by post, through third-party distributors, pharmacists, or caregivers.
